An English actress, whose career spanned four decades, appeared in numerous films between 1916 and 1949. She was born in Somerset, England, United Kingdom. She is the daughter of painter Robert Walker Macbeth, she honed her skills at Herbert Birnbaum Tree Academy of Dramatic Art and soon appeared in West End theatre. She then moved into films, initially playing small roles, and her big break came in the 1940s when she landed the role of Ada Epting in Mexican Spitfire Out West (1940), followed by films such as Pistol Packin' Mama (1943), The Brighton Strangler (1945), What a Blonde (1945), and All Over the Town (1949). She died on 4 January 1990 in Suffolk, England, United Kingdom.
