An American actor, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA, on March 31, 1896, as Edward Frank Dunn. Eddie Dunn's most important works include The Gay Falcon (1941), The Falcon's Brother (1942), and The Great Dictator (1940). Eddie Dunn was a supporting actor who worked with many comedians such as Charlie Chaplin, and Laurel and Hardy. He began his career on a local radio station when he was in high school, after which he began working in silent films in 1915 with Vitagraph Studios and made short comedies. He played many roles as a servant, taxi driver, waiter, sailor, policeman, or detective. Dunn worked steadily in films until his death in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on May 5, 1951, at the age of 55. |
