An Irish actor, born in County Cork, Ireland. Among his most important film works are Tarzan and the Golden Lion (1927), A Christmas Carol (1938), The Last Warning (1928), and Rosa de Francis (1935). He was an Irish lawyer who became an American film actor. He worked for a period as a private secretary to a member of Parliament and as a lawyer in a joint-stock company. He also worked as a leading man in some plays. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 25, 1945, at the age of 75.
