A British film and stage actor, born in Plymouth, England, United Kingdom. Frank married Pauline Matthews (1908-1953), and she remained with him until his death. Among his most important film works are The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939), The Woman in the Window (1944), Broadway Hostess (1935), and Scotland Yard (1941). Frank worked in film and theater, joining the sound era, and played the roles of a priest, butler, receptionist, writer, doctor, senator, gypsy, waiter, doorman, and old man. Frank died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 11, 1953, at the age of 83.
