An American actor, born in Butte, Montana, USA, on November 25, 1899, as Ethan Allen Laidlaw. Ethan Laidlaw married twice and had no children. Among his notable works are Speed Demon (1932), The Big Diamond Robbery (1929), Is That Nice? (1926), and Crack o' Dawn (1925). He was a prolific film and television actor, specializing in small roles in Western films, usually as a mustachioed henchman or gangster. Laidlaw graduated from the University of Michigan, worked as an engineer, registered for the WWI draft in 1918, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on May 25, 1963, of a heart attack. |
