An American film and television actor, born in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He was married twice and had two children. His most notable works include California Straight Ahead! (1937), Red-Haired Alibi (1932), Bright Eyes (1934), and Topper (1937). He was a handsome silent film hero of the 1920s, and easily transitioned to quirky roles with the advent of sound and later to television. He is the son of a Yale professor. He was educated at the Hill School to become a doctor, but preferred acting. In 1915, he appeared on Broadway, then developed into a handsome and charismatic silent film actor, playing romantic roles with silent film stars. He then moved on to supporting and notorious roles, and with the advent of sound, to playing villainous characters. Theodore was also an accomplished radio actor. He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 6, 1964, at the age of 70.
