He worked as an actor, stunt performer, and stunt double in the silent era of cinema, and later in the sound era, working as a stunt double for comedian Stan Laurel in several films while working at Hal Roach Studios. His most important works include Swiss Miss (1938), General Spanky (1936), the short film Hats Off (1927), and the short film Two Tars (1928). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 9, 1967, at the age of 67.
