He was an English author, known for writing the novel series, Discworld. After moving to Bridgwater, he went to High Wycombe Technical High School, where he wrote stories for the school magazine and was an important member of the debating club. He wrote novels in science fiction as well as comics, and he published more than 70 books, with sales reaching 85 million copies distributed in most parts of the world. He died at the age of 66 on March 12, 2015, in Broadchalke, England, UK, from Alzheimer's disease.
