An American actress, born in Whatcom County Washington, on February 6, 1909. Her most significant work includes Take Me to Town (1953), Julius Caesar (1953), and The Glass Menagerie (1959). Ann Tyrrell focused on her theatrical work until she was forty, then she presented her first movie, Bride for Sale (1949). Her notable roles on television were in the series Private Secretary (1953-1957), and The Ann Sothern Show (1958-1961). Ann Tyrrell retired from acting in 1964, worked as a dialectician and made recordings for the blind. She died in Pasadena, California, on July 20, 1983 of a heart attack.
