A British actress born in Southampton, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom on August 16, 1932 and died in Winchester, Hampshire, England, United Kingdom on October 25, 2012 from complications of a stroke. In 1957, she married cinematographer Michael Boultbee. She is known for Night Train to Paris (1964), Secret Agent (1965), and The Avengers (1964). She appeared in supporting roles in second-class films and television episodes in the fifties and sixties and married cinematographer Michael Pultby in 1957 in Nairobi. She was born in Southampton, and during World War II, when the Nazi bombardment of the British island intensified, she and her family were evacuated at the age of ten to Houghton, Hampshire, where she appeared in amateur plays to entertain the warrior forces. She studied public speaking at the age of 13 and joined a theater company and appeared on the London stage at the age of 17. Her first film was Lady in the Fog (1952), and her first television work was BBC Sunday-Night Theater (1953). She retired from acting in 1965 after her last film Night Train to Paris (1964) and died in 2012 of complications from a stroke at the age of 80 .
