Salma El-Sharkawy |
An Italian director and writer, born on October 19, 1978, in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. He has a DAMS degree from Bologna University and studied at many schools such as the Samuel Beckett Theatre, Trinity College, in Dublin, the Los Angeles Film School, and the Florence Music Academy. He was a former member of the youth jury at the Venice Film Festival. He is the Head of International for the Producers Guild of Italy. He is known for Napoleon Returns to Galleria Borghese (2012), American Night (2021), and Paura d'amare (2004). He received several honors, awards, and scholarships, such as the Honoring Proclamation from the Los Angeles, CA City Council for Fulbright students for his work at PBS, the Fulbright Sergio Corbucci Scholarship in Film Directing, and the RAI Crystal Microphone Prize.
