Saddam Hussein was born on April 28, 1937 in Baghdad. He was the fifth president of the Republic of Iraq, Secretary General of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, and Supreme Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces from 1979 to 2003. He appeared in a number of documentaries, including the movie Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) which featured the events of September 11. Saddam Hussein died on December 30, 2006, where he was executed in Baghdad. He was buried in his hometown of Al-Awja in Salah al-Din Governorate in the city of Tikrit.
