Saddam Hussein was born in Al-Awja, Saladin Governorate, Kingdom of Iraq. He was the 5th president of the Republic of Iraq, Secretary General of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, and Supreme Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces until 2003. He appeared in a number of documentaries, including the movie Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004), which reviewed the events of September 11. Saddam Hussein died on December 30, 2006, by execution in Baghdad. He was buried in his hometown of Al-Awja, Saladin Governorate, Iraq.
