Bush postponed his college studies after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, joined the United States Navy on his eighteenth birthday, and became the youngest pilot in the United States Navy at the time. He served until the end of the war, then entered Yale University. He graduated in 1948, moved with his family to West Texas and worked in the oil business, becoming a millionaire at the age of 40. Bush entered politics shortly after founding his own oil company, winning House elections in 1966. President Richard Nixon appointed him ambassador to the United Nations in 1971, and he became chairman of the Republican National Committee in 1973. He died on Friday, November 30, 2018 in, Houston, Texas. He participated in the 2004 movie Fahrenheit 9/11.
