An American actor born in Chicago, on March 23, 1915. He was married twice and had one daughter. He sold newspapers in Street corners, graduated from Los Angeles High School. He studied journalism at the University of New Mexico, and served in the US Army Signal Corps during World War II. He began his career in radio, presenting variety shows and writing radio comedy. In the mid-fifties, he moved to work on television as an actor and writer. His most important works: Superchick (1973), The Unholy Rollers (1972), All the President's Men (1976) and The Crowded Sky (1960). He died of lung cancer in 1988 at the age of 73.
