An American actor was born in New York City, on December 30, 1920. Jack was an American actor, director, and producer of film, theater and television, and was a plastic artist who drew paintings. He was educated at St. Benedict's School, John Adams High School, and the US Naval Merchant Academy. He also attended New York University on a football scholarship, and earned a degree in fine arts. Jack participated in World War II in the US Corps of Engineers to build bridges, and learned acting during naval training. He was nominated for the TV Land Award in 2006, and won the Western Heritage Award in 1963. He got married twice and had one child. Among his most important works: Dr. No (1962), God's Little Acre (1958), Stoney Burke (1962-1963) and Hawaii Five-O (1968-1980). He died in 1998 of congestive heart failure at the age of 77.
