An American actor, born in Oklahoma, on July 14, 1923. He received a Golden Apple Award in 1953, a Western Heritage Award in 1973 and a Golden Boot Award in 1985. He also had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. He got married 5 times and had one daughter. Among his most important works: The Outcasts of Poker Flat (1952), Tales of Wells Fargo (1957), The One Eyed Soldiers (1967) and Son of Sindbad (1955). He died in San Diego, on February 27, 2013 from complications of lung cancer and pneumonia.
