Oscar Beregi Jr. was born in Budapest, on May 12, 1918. He is best known for The Untouchables (1960-1962), 36Hours (1964), and Young Frankenstein (1974). He played many small roles in major films, but achieved some fame in television roles, and the majority of his roles were evil characters. Oscar Jr. left Hungary in 1939 with his father, actor Oscar Beregi Sr., and moved to USA. He began his acting career in an episode of the TV series Reader's Digest (1955), while he made his cinematic debut in The Oregon Trail (1959). Oscar Beregi Jr. died of a heart attack at the age of 58 years old |
