An American actress, born in Pasadena, California, USA on September 13, 1916 and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on October 16, 1992 of lymphocytic leukemia. She married musician Johnny Green (1943-1989), had two children, and remained with him until his death. Her most important works are Bathing Beauty (1944), Maisie Goes to Reno (1944), Broadway Rhythm (1944), and Pepe (1960). He trained as a freestyle swimmer with Johnny Weissmuller, who created the character Tarzan. He debuted in the action-adventure movie Flash Gordon (1936). She continued to play small roles in addition to her work as a model. She married musician Johnny Green and continued her work until she retired from acting and worked in many charities very actively in Beverly Hills, where she lived with her husband, the award-winning musician. She won 5 Oscars. She died in 1992 of leukemia at the age of 76.
