An American jazz musician actor who was born in Tower City, Pennsylvania, USA. He married Betty Jo Faris in 1957 and had no children. His most important works are Kilroy Was Here (1947), Dance Demons (1957), and Les Brown Goes to Town (1955). He was a trombone player, singer, dancer, and band manager. He was the younger brother of Les Brown Sr. He began playing the trumpet at the age of nine, and when he was fourteen, he played the baritone and received a music scholarship to study the baritone horn at the New York Military Academy, and he graduated from in 1943. He joined his brother Les Brown's band. He held the position of the trombone bassist for 60 years. He was playing, dancing, and singing with the band. He met the fan Betty and married her in 1957. He got his first movie role in Kilroy Was Here (1947), and his second movie was Duchess of Idaho (1950). He made a movie every three years, until his last film, The Nutty Professor (1963). He participated with Bob Hope in his tours with USO to entertain American soldiers in the Korean War and accompanied him for 16 years every Christmas.
