An American actor born in Maker, Colorado, USA on June 25, 1898 and died in Maker, Colorado, USA on October 6, 1973. His most important works are The Devil's Tower (1928), Range Riders (1934), Battling Buddy (1924), and Lightning Range (1933). He became a film and television actor in the silent cinema era until the 1950s. He was born to immigrants parents from England, and he was an athlete and a cowboy in his youth. In 1916, he played the role of a stuntman in the circus and presented stunts in the cinema. He joined the US Navy in World War I and survived a shipwreck. He starred in 38 short films of Western films for $ 250 for each film. When the sound was introduced to the films, his roles in films diminished, and he began to participate in films with small roles. He retired after his performance in the movie The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962). He died in 1973 at the age of 75 years.
