An American actor, born in De Soto, Missouri, USA. He married two wives and had three children. His most important works include Unconquered (1947), Santa Fe Trail (1940), The Ten Commandments (1956), and Beginning of the End (1957). He appeared in many films and TV series in, addition to a his career on Broadway. He joined the University of Kansas. He graduated in 1933 from St. Benedict's College. He joined the Pasadena Playhouse to study theater. He signed a contract with Warner Bros. and played a huge number of role over 3 decades, mostly in supporting and small roles. He is known for the series The Untouchables (1959-1963), where he participated in 20 episodes. In the last years of his life, he was a partner in a famous restaurant and bar in Encino, California. He died in Granada Hills, California, USA on March 3, 1974 of a heart attack. |
