An American actor, born in Coolidge, Georgia, USA. His most important works are The Brain from Planet Arous (1957), Mysterious Doctor Satan (1940), and Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958). He worked as a stuntman in film and television. He attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta. He practiced bodybuilding and developed his athletic skills that helped him become a stuntman in Hollywood.
He moved with his family to Atlanta at the age of 14 and tried to play football but failed. He went to Chicago and worked for 4 years in vaudeville, then he finally decided to travel to Hollywood. He found a profitable job doing stunts in films as well as performing some small acting roles, especially in American Western films.
His career continued until the late fifties when he had a foot injury, so he was forced to focus on performing acting roles in cinema and television. He made his first film role as an actor and stuntman in The King Steps Out (1936), and his last work as an actor was in How the West Was Won (1962). He died in Sherman Oaks, California, USA on March 8, 1966 of arteriosclerosis.
