An American actor, born in New York, USA as Benjamin Wolff Stermer. He married two wives and had two children. His most important works include Target (1958), Adventures of Superman (1957), Harbor Command (1958), and Lock Up (1960). He acted in theater, film, and television from the 1920s to the 1980s. He began his career in theatrical work as an actor and dancer in local theater and vaudeville. He moved to Broadway and worked in many musicals, taking advantage of his dancing talent. He continued to work until the early forties and used his talents as a dancer to appear in many famous Hollywood films. When musicals began to lose popularity, he found regular work in Hollywood films, and by the end of the sixties, he was able to appear in many films, such as True Grit (1969) and Airport 70 (1970). He appeared on most television programs at the time, and when his career began to fade in the beginning of the seventies, he contented himself with small roles, such as a salesman, traveler, reporter, gambler, bartender, court clerk, soldier, and policeman, until he appeared in his last work, Dynasty (1983). He died in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA on August 25, 1995.
