After leaving school, he worked as a taxi driver until he was discovered for a career in the theater, working at the Royal Court Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and the National Theatre. In the late 1960s, he worked in film and television, and his television career was very successful. Brian Hall died in Worthing, Sussex, England, UK, of cancer at the age of 59.
