A British actor, born in Brighton, England, United Kingdom. He married actress Marlene Hall (1962-1997), they had three children together, and she remained with him until his death. Hall's most notable works include Adolf Hitler: My Part in His Downfall (1973), The Long Good Friday (1980), Fawlty Towers (1979), and Buccaneer (1980). Brian is a British actor in film, television, and theater. He is best known for his role as the chef in the 1979 television series Fawlty Towers. He has played leading roles in police dramas, crime dramas, and light comedies. He began acting while in his teens, performing in amateur shows, and his physical strength led him to take on villainous and heavy roles. After leaving school, he worked as a taxi driver until he was discovered for a career in the theater, working at the Royal Court Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and the National Theatre.
