A British actor born in London, on September 2, 1925. He got married to Ann Bristol (1959-2006) and they had two children and she was with him until her death. He is an English theater artist, character actor and voice artist, and one of the founders of the Dramatic Theater Company of the Actors Company. He is one of the most prominent representatives of Shakespearean personalities in the Kingdom. He was a scholarship student at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts until 1941, and served in the Royal Army as a radio operator, and with the Air Force as a ground supporter during World War ll. He began his cinematic journey with the movie Top Secret (1952). His most important works are: The Parent Trap (1998), Planet Patrol (1963-1968), Carry on Cruising (1962) and Brassed Off (1996). His last work was The Parent Trap in 1998 and he retired until his death in 2006 at the age of 81.
