An American actor born in Brooklyn, New York, USA, on May 5, 1912 and died in Mexico on March 15, 1971. He is known for The Leather Saint (1956), Racket Squad (1951), Flesh and Fury (1952), and Miracle Kid (1941). He was an American boxer, actor, doppler, and stunt performer. He was a technical advisor to boxing films for many stars, such as Elvis Presley, Tony Curtis, Kirk Douglas, and James Cagney. He presented exciting and dangerous scenes in 32 films for his friend Dean Martin, and 10 films for his friend Frank Sinatra. His first appearance was in the movie A Star Is Born (1937), and his last movie was Something Big (1971). He died in Mexico while filming a movie there at the age of 58.
