An American actor, born in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He is known for The Leather Saint (1956), Racket Squad (1951), Flesh and Fury (1952), and Miracle Kid (1941). He was an American boxer, actor, and stunt performer. He was a technical advisor in boxing films with many stars, such as Elvis Presley, Tony Curtis, Kirk Douglas, and James Cagney. He performed stunts in 32 films with his friend Dean Martin, and 10 films with his friend Frank Sinatra. His first appearance was in the movie A Star Is Born (1937), and his last movie was Something Big (1971). He died in Mexico while filming a movie there on March 15, 1971. |
