An American actor, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA as Charles Boyd Cabeen. In 1941, He married Irene "Jean" Marin, and they had a child, and after their divorce, he married Carmen Cabeen. His most important works include Desire Me (1947) and Gentlemen Marry Brunettes (1955). He played small roles and performed stunts, often playing the roles of a party guest, reporter, gang member, policeman, soldier, and traveler.
He worked as an assistant to stars Robert Mitchum and Marvin Lee and gained notoriety for being hired by studios to be a professional babysitter for heavy-drinking stars. His first work was Mr. District Attorney (1947), and his most important television work was Bret Maverick (1981), where he presented 11 episodes. His last appearance was in the series The Final Battle (1984). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA on September 11, 1984.
