An American actor, born in Oakland, California, USA as Peter Franklin Hansen. He won the 1968 CINDY Award for Special Achievement and the 1979 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Drama Series. He married Florence Elizabeth Moe (1943-1993); they had three children, and she remained with him until her death. His works include When Worlds Collide (1951), Dragonfly (2002), General Hospital (1965-2018), and The War of the Roses (1989).
He played supporting roles in film and television, and his career spanned from the fifties until the beginning of the new millennium. He joined the University of Michigan and served in the US Marine Corps during World War II. He became a combat pilot in the South Pacific, and after the war and his move to Hollywood, he joined the famous Pasadena Playhouse in 1946 and studied acting for 3 years.
He met Alan Ladd during his participation in the movie Branded (1950), signed a contract with Paramount, and presented several films. He spent 3 years working as the spokesman for Plymouth cars and participated in commercials for them in the sixties, in addition to his work in cinema and television. He died in Santa Clarita, California, USA on April 9, 2017.
