An American actor, born in Pendleton, Indiana, USA as William Franklin Walker. He married Canadian actress Peggy Cartwright (1959-1992), who remained with him until his death. His works include Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964), Tick, Tick, Tick (1970), Boy Who Caught a Crook (1961), and Big Jake (1971). He was an African-American actor and World War I veteran, who started acting in 1946 and had a career spanning 5 decades. He appeared in many films and TV shows, including TV theater. His first work was Lost City of the Jungle (1946), and his last work was the TV series Hunter (1987). He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA on January 27, 1992 of cancer.
