An American film critic, author, and actress, born in North Carolina, and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She attended St. Catherine's School, Sweet Briar College, the University of London, and the Collège de Sorbonne before settling in New York. Her works include Billy Baxter Presents Diary of the Cannes Film Festival with Rex Reed (1980) and For the Love of Movies: The Story of American Film Criticism (2009).
