American expressionist and actor, born as Allan George See on February 28, 1931, in New York in the United States. He studied acting at Ithaca College, graduating in 1952 with a BA in Fine Arts. After serving in the United States Air Force, he moved to New York City and worked at Radio City Music Hall as an usher. Focusing on acting, he changed his stage name to Gavin MacLeod. His career spanned over six decades. He also guest-starred on many talk shows. He died on May 29, 2021, in Palm Desert, California, USA at the age of 90.
