An American actress who was born in San Francisco, California, USA, as Marjorie Lee Eaton. Her most important works include Zombies of Mora Tau (1957), Mary Poppins (1964), Night Tide (1961), and That Forsyte Woman (1949).
She was an American painter, photographer, and actress who worked in theater, film, and television. She joined the Katherine Delmar Burke School and graduated in 1920. She studied at the Art Institute of Boston, as well as in Florence and Paris. She worked in photography, and when she found that she would not be able to earn a living from art, she left painting and turned to acting.
She presented several plays on Broadway and made her film debut in Anna and the King of Siam (1946). She continued her work in films, providing supporting roles, and was a guest on TV series in the early fifties. Her last work was Crackers (1984). She stopped acting and devoted herself to painting until she died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA on April 21, 1986.
