An American actress, born in New York, on December 2, 1914. She was an American actress, director, producer and teacher, whose career spanned between film, theater, television and radio. She became an acting teacher. Tracy studied writing and acting at the University of Michigan and Cornell University, then moved to New York to study at the Actors Studio. Tracy got a role in the Broadway play "Paradise Lost" directed by Elia Kazan, and her success led to her obtaining many roles in famous plays. She appeared in the cinema in Western films during the fifties, but her intelligence and beauty were not enough to make her a star, but she proved herself as an acting coach, director and producer of plays including her students. In 1994, she returned to acting again and participated in an episode of the series Mr. Bean (1994), then she devoted herself to her lectures until she died. Tracy got married to Jerry Adelman, and their marriage ended in divorce. Her most important works are: Edge of Hell (1956), Rescue 8 (1959), Space Patrol (1952), and Go Naked in the World (1961). She died in Los Angeles, on February 8, 2002 from a brain haemorrhage.
