American actor born in New York City, on May 6, 1912. He got married to Mary Catherine Roden in 1939, and they had three children, and she remained with him until his death. He has appeared in more than 160 TV shows, mostly in rural environments. He first appeared on Broadway...Read more when he was six, and appeared in the vaudeville theater. He also appeared in silent films when he was ten years old. He continued his theatrical work until the mid-fifties when he appeared in recurring roles in many television and radio programs, in addition to his appearances in the cinema with supporting roles. His most important works are: The Birds (1963), Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983) and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989). Bill performed his last work in 1989 and then retired. He died in California, on April 29, 1994 at the age of 81.
