An American actor, born in New York City, on May 13, 1905. He got married to Jane Fields (1926-1979) and they had two children, and she remained with him until her death. Frank is an American short comedian who worked in film, television and theater. His beginning was with the imitation of Charlie Chaplin. He worked in vaudeville theater with an acrobatic group, and presented stunts with horses In the circus, and toured with one of the bands in Europe. He formed a comedy duo with Jack Durant in theater and on Broadway, and their success led them to work in films. After his separation from Durant, he played comedy roles in films of the 1940s and 1950s. He also worked in many western films because of his skill in horse riding. His most important works are: Blood Voyage (1976), The Devil's Trail (1942), Tropic Fury (1939) and Scaramouche (1952). He died in North Hollywood, on January 21, 1991, of a heart attack.
