American actress, born in Los Angeles, California, USA on April 8, 1926 as Suzanne Marguerite Philips and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on February 21, 2019. She married Johnny Durant, and they got four children. Her most important works are American Beauty (1999) and Paint Your Wagon (1969). She was an American actress in film and television and a model, who shifted from films to commercials and worked as a photographer and model. In the sixties, she obtained a real estate broker's license. Born in Southern California to a construction worker father, she lived with her family in Beverly Hills, but had to move to a more modest area of the city after the stock market crash of 1929. Her beauty appealed to the MGM talent agent who convinced her to act, and she first appeared as a beautiful girl in the musical comedy Holiday in Mexico (1946). She was presented as the Goldwyn Girl in the fantasy comedy The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947), and she was promoted by the studio and attended parties, shows and charity events. However, she did not reach stardom and her work was limited to additional roles such as the beautiful girl, the model, the chorus girl, the dancer, the dance coach, the maid, the secretary, the cowgirl, the nurse, the mother, and the party guest. She worked in musicals, such as Words and Music (1948). She co-worked with Esther Williams in 5 films, including Neptune's Daughter (1949). The 5 movies were loaned to Paramount Studios and Columbia. Universal and Warner Bros. In the mid-fifties, she devoted herself to taking care of her family and her only son, and she gave birth to 3 other sons. At the end of the fifties, she returned to the artistic world, and she focused more on television work and went to work in commercial advertisements heavily. She presented more than 200 commercial advertisements. In cinema and television, she starred in The Beach Girls and the Monster (1965). She developed a successful real estate company, besides working sporadically in film and television. She presented her last work, an episode in the series So Little Time (2002) and then retired to devote herself to her real estate company until she died in 2019 at the age of 92.
