An American director, actor, and writer, born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He presented hundreds of silent short films as an actor, writer and director, until he transitioned to talkies as an actor. He married Esther Schinzel (1918-1925) and they had a child before they divorced. Among his notable works are The Little Irish Girl (1926), All Bound Around (1919) and Fixed by George (1920). He died from heart ailment in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on April 24, 1961, at age 72.
