An American actor, born on February 10, 1886, in Denver, Colorado, USA, as Olin Ross Howland. He performed in musicals on Broadway from 1909 until 1927. He also occasionally appeared in silent movies. He was also a dancer, a dancing teacher, and a headliner in vaudeville shows. He first appeared on screen in 1918, during the silent era, and continued until the late 1950s, during the sound era. He is known for his roles in The Case of the Curious Bride (1935), The Blob (1958), and Gone with the Wind (1939). He died at the age of 73 on September 20, 1959, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.
