An American actor, born in New Haven, Connecticut, on August 17, 1898. He got married to Louise Arlene Woolner in 1928 and she remained with him until his death. He appeared on Broadway since 1922 and on cinema since 1931. Mostly in the roles of gangsters, criminals, policemen, and others. He first appeared in the movie Tarnished Lady in 1931, and his last work was shown after his death, At Sword's Point in 1952. Among his most important works are: Women Won't Tell (1932), The Return of Jimmy Valentine (1936), A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935) and 6 Hours to Live (1932). He died in Las Vegas, on December 11, 1950 of a heart attack. |
