    Christina Aziz

    A British actor, born in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, as Andrew John Maxton Cruickshank. He married actress Curigwen Lewis (1939-1988), they had three children, and she remained with him until his death. His most important works include Auld Lang Syne (1937), Kidnapped (1959), and Murder Most Foul (1964). He was an actor and writer who worked in film, theater and television. He was educated at Aberdeen Grammar School. He preferred theater to engineering and toured Britain with several theater companies before working in the London theater in Shakespearean plays. He spent a long time with the Old Vic in London as well as touring Europe and Egypt. He worked for BBC Radio for 7 years, and he also worked in cinema, starting in 1937 with the movie Auld Lang Syne. He worked in cinema and theater until he joined the army during World War II, and after his discharge from the army, he continued his artistic career and also worked on television programs. He performed the roles of judges and doctors, and his most important television work is Dr. Finlay's Casebook (1962-1971), where he presented 191 episodes, and his last work was King & Castle (1986-1988). He died in Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom on April 29, 1988.
