A French writer and director, born in the municipality of Bobigny in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis in France, and grew up in Pantin, in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, to parents of Algerian origins. Gwen studied at the Lycée Marcelin Berthelot in Pantin and joined the Faculty of Sociology at Paris 8 University Vincennes-Saint-Denis, France, before leaving to focus on writing and directing. She wrote the novels Kiffe kiffe Demain and Du rêve pour les oufs. She directed several short films, such as Nothing but Words (2004). |
