An English actor born in Islington, London, UK. He began his life as a butcher and at 18 years old he joined the army. After WWII, he worked as a stuntman and also appeared in many secondary roles. He was also a singer who released several songs and an album. He practiced boxing and was a boxing champion for his military unit. After leaving the service, he worked as a professional boxer for 3 years. His notable works include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), Gonks Go Beat (1964), Ladies Who Do (1963), and Two Way Stretch (1960). He married Florence Rose (1939-1961) and they had three children, she stayed with him until she died of suicide due to his physical abuse. He died on 11 December 1995 in Islington, London, UK.
