An American actor and stuntman, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on January 27, 1917. He was an actor, acrobat and doppler who worked in film and television. He was a swimmer in the US Navy, and when he moved in the 1940s to Hollywood, he worked as a lifeguard in Santa Monica. He began appearing in films, in the role of an acrobat, performing dangerous scenes, then began appearing in additional roles ranging from cowboys to aliens. In the fifties he often appeared in American Western films, and in the sixties he expanded his work as a stuntman in television and cinema. Among his most important works are: The Monster Squad (1987), The Stunt Man (1980), Remote Control (1988) and Lovely But Deadly (1981). He died in Riverside, California, on May 31, 1996 of a heart attack.
