An American actress, stand-up comedian, writer and director, born in Gainesville, Florida, and raised in Miami, Florida. She is the only child of her Jamaican father and Haitian mother. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts (1998) - in the Experimental Theater Wing - and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California. Her credits include Bad Hair (2020), Dear White People (2017) and Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021).
