British actor born in Casal Paula, Malta on August 27, 1909. In 1934, he got married to Margot Littlefair and they had two children. Among his most important works are: Steptoe and Son (1963-1970), and The Bullet Machine (1970). He began appearing in films in England with minor roles in the mid-thirties, and his first film was Thunder in the City (1937) and his last film was The Omen (1976), then he retired. He died in Brighton, East Sussex, England, on July 23, 1980. |
