American actress born Carolyn Sawls in Alabama, US on 19 June 1918. In her early life, she took drama classes and appeared in school plays. After graduating high school, she moved to Hollywood and took singing and drama lessons. Her debut film was on From this Day Forward (1946). Her most notable works include The Black Widow (1947), The Feathered Serpent (1948), and Blackhawk: Fearless Champion of Freedom (1952). She married twice. She died on 9 June 1997 in Burbank, California, US.
