American actor who was born in Sacramento, California, on March 11, 1871 as Horace Scott Seaton. He was married three times and had three children. His notable works are The Other Tomorrow (1930), Thumbs Down (1927), and Rich Men's Sons (1927). He acted in theater, film and television. He starred in silent cinema and continued to work after sound was introduced to films. He made his first film, Eight-Cylinder Bull (1926) and then continued to work profusely until the mid-sixties and provided supporting roles. His last film was The Incredible Mr. Limpet (1964). He died in Los Angeles, on June 3, 1968, at the age of 97. |
